The zombie apocalypse is coming. At least, that seems to be the consensus among the masses nowadays. The last thing you want is either to become a zombie or to have your brains eaten out from your skull by a zombie. The zombie apocalypse is coming, and you need to be prepared for it. Zombies are really dumb. All they want is one thing: BRAINS! Your dog's brains, your neighbor's brains, your brains. Zombies will do anything for brains including walking off cliffs, into fire, in front of your truck and into the barrel of your shotgun. You do not have to have great fighting skills or have been in the army your whole life to survive the . All it takes is a little common sense. Unfortunately, that is what most people lack and is why there will be a zombie apocalypse in the first place.
First of all, you are going to need something tough that can easily run over a shuffling mob of reanimated corpses. You should try to get a good SUV to help you out. Ideally your SUV should be a 4×4. You never know if you are going to have to plow through barricades, roll over fences, or cut across a parking lot filled with the debris of a civilization lost. While you do need as much storage as you can get, a SUV is defiantly the vehicle of choice.
When it comes to add-ons, you want to spare no expense. A winch will soon become your best friend (besides the fact there might be nobody left alive to fill that role). You should probably mount it on the back so you can have more pulling power. You may also need to use your front for a bulldozer blade. A wench will enable you to clear burned cars and fallen trees out of the road. A trailer hitch will let you pull around more supplies as well.
If you are going to take out some of these zombies you are going to need plenty of protective armor and some good shotguns. Make sure you get yourself a good roof bag to store all your survival gear in. Remember in a time like this there is no such thing as too much supplies, we are talking about your life.
Purchase a set of high powered fog lights to mount on the roof your car. This extra light will be handy when trying to scout out a campsite at night or spot shufflers in the dark.
It is just a matter of time before the apocalypse gets here and you need to be ready. If you do all of this will you survive? Probably not, but having the right vehicle will give you a fighting chance, which is more than most will have.
