Nissan, a Japanese automaker, was sold under the Datsun brand name until 1983 when the Datsun badge was dropped. The third largest car manufacturer in Japan today, in the last few years Nissan has made the sales comeback of the past decade. Thanks to their innovative designs such as the Altima, 350Z and Xterra; as well as increased sales in their luxury Infiniti division they have been able to revitalize the once struggling company.
